So this season I am going to be working on snowboarding tricks?
This season I am going to be working on snowboarding tricks. Last season was my first season,and I can do blacks, but I have never been to the park.
Could you tell me what the park is like and the rules I should know?
I can see it from the lift,but I would like to know what it’s like from the point of view in the park,not above.
Also,would you care to name some tricks that I should learn as a beginner in the park?

Some rules to follow….
* Freestyle Terrain contains man-made and natural terrain variations.
* Freestyle Terrain changes constantly due to weather and use.
* Inspect Freestyle Terrain before using and throughout the day.
* In jumping and using this terrain, you assume the risk of serious injury.
* Be courteous and respect others.
* One user on a terrain feature at a time.
* Never jump blindly; use a spotter when necessary. Look Before You Leap!
* It is your responsibility to control your body on the ground and in the air.
* Always clear the landing area quickly.
* Always ski and ride in control and within your ability.
* Aerial somersaulting maneuvers are not recommended.
Those are some rules to follow. Basically inspect the stuff before you use it, you never know how the feature is going to be, if you go over a jump where the landing sucks you are risking serious injury.
Don’t go down the park cutting everybody off, if you see people waiting around ask them if they are waiting to use the feature before you just go ahead, thats a good way of getting people mad at you.
Let me tell you that the park is absolutely amazing, once your good at it its a lot of fun. You may find it intimidating to start as many people do but you get more confident as you practice more.
You also may want to get a lesson in park riding to begin and you should know how to ride switch as well in order to do certain tricks because if you do tricks such as 180′s you’re going to be landing the opposite way from which you normally ride so its important to be able to ride both ways
The first thing I’d do in the park is just work on being able to ride the rails, boxes, and clear the jumps without falling, then once you got that down start doing 180′s on the jumps working your way up to more advanced spins as you get better.
I’d definitely get a lesson though because if you don’t know what you’re doing you can get seriously hurt, that’s how I broke my collarbone a few years ago
