Reverse camber snowboard questions.?
Im looking for a new board, specifically the 2010 Forum Youngblood!
All ive heard has been good from the board.
This board is reverse camber.
-how will it differ from a Camber board?
-Will it be better or worse for Jumping, Landing, rails, powder? etc
-Will it be better or worse for just shredding the mountain?
Post your experiences also.
thanks
Good question,
The Youngblood is a good medium priced park board from Burton/Forum. It is designed very specifically for park riding and even more specifically for rails, presses, slides, etc. It is also on the softer side which makes it feel extra good for that stuff.
But (and it’s a big but), you don’t get without giving. If you get told that this type of board is the holy grail for all kinds of riding…run away.
Rocker boards sacrifice when it comes to all mountain riding, freeriding, and hard snow/ice. Additionally boards with soft tips and tails that are great for presses don’t have the pop and immediacy that stiffer tip/tail boards have. And, camber boards transition from edge to edge better.
Sooooooo, if you want a very specific park board, you are on track, if not you will be happier with a more well rounded model.
